Oooh - you reminded me, I saw this whole documentary on David Icke last night, and it was friggin' hilarious, and I thought of you, SS, fondly, all the while.
The docu. makers clearly thought he was out of his gourd, yet nevertheless he seemed radically sane compared to the people who protest him.
Case in point: the head of the Canadian Green Party, who was trying to get Icke expelled from Canada (where he was on a book tour), expressing outrage that he had accused a former Canadian PM of being a blood drinking, child murdering lizard. I was like, "Dude, that was Brian Mulroney - YOU think Mulroney is a blood drinking, child murdering lizard, so what are you talking about?"
BR(I particularly liked the narrator's line: "whether you think Icke is an anti-semite or not really depends on whether you think, when he talks about 12 foot lizards, he really means the Jews. Having spent a fair amount of time with him, I have to say, I think when he talks about 12 foot lizards, he really means 12 foot lizards.")C
