That is not to say that O'Connor is not a powerful woman. It is to say that such a comment can have the effect of diminishing a powerful woman's accomplishments. That's why it's irksome.

What if she considers it a compliment or just an acceptable lighthearted description in the context? Who are you to judge how she interprets it or wants to be characterised? The arrogance of the left knows no bounds.
