MERIDIAN, Miss., July 8 — An employee brandishing at least two weapons opened fire at the Lockheed Martin plant here Tuesday, killing at least six people, including himself, authorities said.
Eddie Smith, a reporter for WMOX radio in Meridian, told MSNBC TV the gunman, who was dressed in camouflage, shot 14 people all told, killing five of them, before turning one of his guns on himself. Smith quoted sheriff’s officials as saying the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute.
