Poll: Best Casting Ever
I have to agree with two of the previous ones:
Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison
George C. Scott as George S. Patton
Although originally more of a TV movie, Steve Railsback did one hell of a job as Charles Manson in Helter Skelter.

I also actually like Russell Crowe in his portrayal of John Forbes Nash. I'm sure this will land me in hot water as Crow is quite irreverent.
