PS. Spending money on SDI does not mean taking money away from developing our domestic secuirty system so it can guard against covert nuclear attacks.

Tens of billions over what time period? I don't have a set dollar amount in mind. If this were something we were close to being able to implement, fine. If not, I'd like to keep researching it, but wait for the necessary technologies to catch up so we're not just throwing money away on nothing more than a cool idea.
