"Curvy," which was the main replacement for "full figured," is going the same way, thanks in no small part to "Real Women Have Curves," a great movie but one in which the women didn't so much have curves as sphericalness. "Womanly" is up next.

Can't we blame Jane Russell herself for that? Didn't she - in later years when less hourglassy and more round - tout those Playtex 18-hour monster bras for "full figured gals"? Took any allure right out of the phrase right there.
Hate that "real women" terminology - seems to imply not only what gwnc and ltl/fb said, but also that that is what you should now aspire to.
And I say that as a fake woman with apparently exceedingly minor curves.
