The Chronicle is reporting that they're moving the refugees from the Superdome to the Astrodome. HISD is waiving immunzation record requirements to let kids in our schools, Astroworld and many of the museums and symphony are letting people with drivers' licences from the affected states in for free. There's a firestation in Katy that took in a family of 88.

Based on NPR and the stuff I've seen on CNN etc., the Superdome sounds like it was becoming a nightmare because of food and water shortages. How miserable. It sucks that usually after a hurricane the sky clears up completely and the sun just BEATS down -- and there's no electricity and the water systems are fucked up.
