The increases are almost all in defense and homeland security (and the tax cuts). While we can (and have) debate the wisdom of that, it's not really a pork-barrel expansion, but a belief that we need to spend more in those areas.

Thank you Burger. These damn Yankees keep saying its pork when Halliburton gets a $7 billion contract for Iraq, but you and I know it's patriots like the good boys at Halliburton that will win this war against whatever we're against.
