Two comments:
1. It's sad that someone who is talented and a role model of someone who perservered to find success (notwithstanding the racism that acknowledgely exists in America) couldn't use the occassion and the forum to try to bridge the gap that exists and inspire people black, white, rich or poor to help their neighbour. The fact that racism exists (although I should note I don't think Bush is a racist) shouldn't be a rationale to perpetuate the divide. Really sad.
2. NBC's cya is nice, but the cynic in me says, someone's business manager and record company made some frantically pleading calls prior to NBC redacting the west coast feed. Especially since someone has a new album now.
3. I'll still buy his album He got a dope beat that I can shake my bootie to!!! Word!
