I realize he's a busy guy, but surely somebody down at the State Department could have stayed over the weekend and coordinated this.
The resources being offered, in particular the generators and the pumps, are what are necessary to provide for basic, immediate needs.

You, having posted this again, rather than realizing you would come off better waiting for some other topic, caught now my interest. I'm often caustic in such situations, so perhaps you'll want to disengage.
generators/pumps/tents/medical supplies are all in stock at my local hardware, I just checked. We don't need em, but could use the $$$ to the Red Cross. we really don't need to be taking time out to be photo oping someone wanting to give up crap that would probably generate the wrong frequency electricity.
