Good points, and I think you're right. The "Fab 5" are a little over the top at times, but each seem to be genuinely likeable people (one's from Chicago I think). Liking someone for who they are rather than focusing on who they're in bed with is the way to acceptance.
They certainly won over Butch, who turned out to be a nice, sensitive artist trapped in the body of an axe murderer... The guy's place was horrible (one called it a "crack den") and they really made him and his place presentable. And like I said, I picked up a couple of grooming/fashion tips and product suggestions I intend to try out.
Aside from the show itself, what I was particularly struck by, and not in a bad way, was the commercials. Bravo is definitely targeting gay viewers, between this show and the upcoming "Boy meets Boy". Looks like they're putting more fun in their schedule rather than being known as the arts and high culture channel... Also, did you see the Orbitz ad for Orbitz.com/gaytravel with the pseudo-"Thunderbirds" puppets?? Pretty daring even for these times, but certainly not unwelcome.
