Agreed. Kohl was a key junior partner to the Reagan-Thatcher alliance in defeating the RedRooskies. Of course then someone put Kool Aid in the lager and Germany went off the reservation into the land of Euro-irrelevance.
It would be good to see them come back to the fold, especially since we rebuilt them after they supported the Nazis and I am not sure if we have received our full ROI.
Of course the liberals will be apopletic to see real leaders back at the helm there. Boni!
