I think the reporter's skepticism is overblown. Though it's true that the number of kids actively keeping with the aftercare program isn't as high as it could be, other fat camps don't offer anything like it. I think the reporter's problem is with the whole "not being fat = desirable" concept, and not with my brother (identified in the article only by his last name, which shows sloppy editing) and his camps and schools. Is it time for that FB perennial to pop up again? If so, let me go on record as saying that being obese is bad, and slimming down to a healthier weight, even if you have to pay companies large sums of money to help you do it, is something that should be applauded, not scorned.

By the way, after the recent Dateline NBC piece on the school, they're now full, and considering opening up a second school in the southeast.
