Missed the R & R Hall of Fame talk, and feel the need to chime in.
First, as usual, fuck the R & R Hall of Fame.
Yeah, Wonk, Sabbath influenced lots of shitty bands, but also lots of great ones. Absolute crime that they're not in.
X is eligible this year (Los Angeles came out in '80). I thought they might actually make the ballot. I shouldn't be surprised.
Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables came out in '80. That could be fun. But I suspect the hall would happily resort to extreme physical force to prevent Jello from getting anywhere near the building. Probably for the best, as he would probably just rant for 20 minutes and then refuse to play with the rest of the band.
Black Flag is eligible next year. Will y'all support my bid to get on the nominating committee?
