I can't believe I'm participating in this discussion, but here goes. Money shot is a "term of art" in the business. If you're in the crew, you can shoot film all day, but in the end, you can't go home until your "star" has given you the money shot. It's called the money shot because the flick won't sell unless/until you have one (notwithstanding porn-lite).
