You have set your over/under too high. There are a number of Republicans who will want to distance themselves from Alito, and once it becomes clear that Alito will win confirmation, they will arrange with Democrats who need to run in conservative states to trade votes. So, I would guess the Republicans will split 45-10 with the Democrats then providing 8-10 votes for.
This is why you can never trust a politician's (or justice's) record to reveal what they really think.
