I'm not saying she had a set of whips and chains at home, but apparently Irving Klaw or some kinky businessman or something spent a
lot of money for pictures and reels of her in the garb and "playing" with some woman.
At some point, if you perform some act with enough enthusiasm, it's presumed you enjoy it. This notion explains why some people think I like being a BIGLAW lawyer.
My point w/r/t Ms. Page is that 1) she was the complete package physically, 2) she was incredibly sexy (I saw some some striptease reel and she could shake everything her maker gave her), and 3) she was willing to enthusiastically indulge a man's fantasy, even if it was far outside the mainstream. Bettie Page hits the lust trifecta.
In other news, Dat continues to roll in
Last Comic Standing, though I thought Jeff's stuff wasn't fresh or sharp. I attribute Dat's popularity with the crowd to a repressed longing for the stereotypical Asian male funnyman of the 80's. Dat seems comfortable with fairly hackneyed material, full of accents and whatnot. I say let him have the sitcom. What if Long Duc Dong from
Sixteen Candles was now a Driver's Ed teacher at the same suburban high school where he was an exchange student? What if Toshiro Takashi from
Revenge of the Nerds had a son who went to the same college? Plus, I'm pretty sure that Julia Montgomery is free to reprise her role as Betty Childs...now the oversexed Assistant Dean.
My talents are clearly being wasted in a law office instead of a studio.
