I had an argument with a law school classmate about the best kind of clients. He likes doctors who dabble in business dealings -- they have the money to pay their bills, but because they think that they are smarter than they are, they avoid getting a lawyer up front, so when the deal goes bad and fingers are pointed and shouts of "fraud!" fill the air, and they get a lawyer, it's so fucked up that it requires a ton of billable work. I told him that I prefer large companies that are used to litigation, and don't take lawsuits personally.
I think I would agree with you, but on the transactional side. Doctors are a pain in the ass because they always expect you to get whatever they want/need done NOW and they are the slowest payers in the world.
