On a completely unrelated note, did anyone else watch the Lincoln bio on History channel this week? Did you notice that it was sponsored by Lincoln (the carmaker)? I thought they sort of glossed over a lot. Like what made Mary Todd Lincoln such a "troubled" woman? Also all but one of the female historians who took part in the show seemed oddly manly. Where are all the hot female historians? They have a thing against Honest Abe?

Mary Todd Lincoln had a severe psychological condition. Psychology and psychiatry being relatively new sciences at the time, and with her never having been in treatment, it is difficult to say what her disorder was with cetainty, but many historians speculate that she was either schizophrenic or bipolar.
