Yes. When it happens to a white man, he gets a 15 minute piece on 48 Hours or Dateline or somesuch. I'm shocked you didn't know this.

I saw one of these in the last year about a guy in prison for rape of a little girl who was later freed based on DNA. The little girl, who was his stepdaughter or niece or something, had recanted that it was him (her testimony put him away), but until they had the DNA evidence, they couldn't let him out, so he was in prison for an extra 15 years or so until they finally got around to testing the DNA.
