Haven't said much because there is not much to say.
I'll answer your question by nominating the Iraqi Air Force General who voluntarily turned himself in to U.S forces shortly after the initial shooting war ended, but was murdered [Ed. note : value judgment there] during his interrogation at Abu Ghraib by being stuffed into a sleeping bag, which was zipped up, and repeatedly sat on, leaned on, and rolled back and forth until he smothered.
That doesn't match up to torture and beheading, but I'd call it barbaric.
Nothing much ever happened to the interrogators -- autopsy ruled that the death was primarily due to a heart condition. The man was nearly 60.
Your question was completely irrelevant, though, because nothing anyone from the U.S. did could justify the deaths of these soliders in that manner.
If you were trying to make the point that the vast majority of U.S. troops have consistently behaved better and treated prisoners better than Iraqi insurgents . . . I don't think that is controversial.
