of course anyone who has actually read Orwell knows this post is confused given Orwell's actual range- it should have read "reading 1984?" which is the edit I thought ty was making. but given the apparent educational level on this board, no one besdies me who realize this, so ty's post would have held water.

I was also thinking of "Politics and the English Language," so I didn't want to limit myself to 1984. Also, so people who haven't read Orwell are nonetheless familiar with the term "Orwellian" from watching Apple commercials and Eurythmics videos.
