This is a problem, huh? Santa Barbara seems like as far north as SoCal should go. But if you really have to, create two 8.5 mile drives, and move on. Maybe sell the valley to Nevada. Or legalize pot, and let the real north buy it.

They can have San Luis Obispo and even the Hearst place, but we get everything north of there.
