I think I'm the biggest guy in the league. I'm pretty good at moving people out of the crease. Guys who are less moveable still have trouble getting their stick on the puck when I've got hold of their arm, or smack their stick just as the puck arrives.
And as I'm sure your kid could tell you, when three forwards are down low, it's the center's job to help out the two defense. Otherwise, they're outmanned, and the forwards can keep cycling the puck around.
