I have an actual antique bed (although it is a queen -- you might have a harder time finding a king antique). Mine is an Indian 4 poster platform, high off the floor but not so high that I need steps and my munchkin can jump onto it (unfortunately) -- about 100 years old and in fantastic shape. So I would plug actual antiques. The dealer who sold mine to me said that you can find larger (king) antiques, because the rich people did have big beds back then.
