It's totally subjective, andI am not arguing right or wrong, but on the couple of custom pieces I have, I thought the real buttonholes looked good.

Hmmm. I may consider it next time, if they actually look better. The salesguy did a shitty job of showing them.
That said, I'm not sure that I'll be feeling that flush again anytime soon.
