No, this is not Annoying at all. Debate is good.
I will take your point and Thurgreed's and just add this: fwiw, I don't think I have solicited any comments on my appearance in a long time from men because I think most of them subscribe to your theory. So that is why, if I really cared, I would go to my female friends. One in particular. She is the only person I will shop with because she's the only person I know who will be completely honest with me about whether something looks good or looks like shit. (I suppose I would also go to TM because he also would give it to me straight). I just think that honesty has its place.
