I took Darvocet a long time ago when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I think I've also taken Vicodin. If I recall, Darvocet made me less loopy than the Vicodin. I didn't remember either was really for reducing swelling -- I thought they were just for pain.

I'm actually not sure that the pharmacist has given me the right thing, as the V on the pill resembles the V on the picture of the Vicodin. Fortunately, I did not get the prescription at CVS, so the prescription tag that came with it will have a description of the pills on it. But I won't know until I get home.
In addition, my boss IS a major pain, so I've got the right stuff.
