If imaginary friend had commented on how really it's important to eat, and that it should be a priority to eat at least SOMETHING on particularly bad days because hunger does no one any good, and had gotten blown off, I might conclude that imaginary friend had tired of fighting a losing battle.
Or, real food is more important to imaginary friend than the imaginary friends of imaginary friend are.
