I was thinking about reading him Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but he's not all that tuned into candy and I'm worried about calling it to his attention and glorifying it. Probably this is silly.

Am now reading him a book called The Tale Of Despereaux. Recommended. Despereaux is a mouse who has parents, but they stand uselessly by when the head mice send him to the dungeon for talking to humans.
I like Roald Dahl [as in Sophie's Dad] and I like James and the Giant Peach. As of late we have been reading something like Punk Rock Farm. funny stuff.

AoN does anyone like the Edward Gorey drawings? with the little heads of the shrunken variety? I love those.
