Plus, it's the only fabric New England men will ever wear outside of wool, cotton knit, or Polartec. Since you will never, as I read in the NY Times Style section, catch one of these guys dead in a "white linen tunic and pink Pucci shorts," I say have mercy on their uptight souls and let 'em wear it.
