So, oldest daughter turns 6 (gasp) this weekend, and it's time to buy presents. One of which will likely be a new chapter book for pre-bed reading. Any suggestions? We've been through E.B. Socks (by Beverly Cleary, no?), anything Ramona, the Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books, The Littles (yes, I know, but she's only six, she'll love them), the Shoes series (Ballet Shoes, etc.).
I think Harry Potter, Narnia. etc. is too much for a 6yo, personally.
