Tattoos: Always heeded my grandpa's advice, who pulled us all aside as we came of age, showed us the tattoos in his arm he'd gotten as a sailor, and snarled, "That was the stupidest fucking thing I ever did!"
Don't mind 'em on anyone else, except I'm completely amused by 'tribal' tatoos on kids from the Tribe of the Suburban Mall of America, and I hope they don't regret em later.
Piercing: these can close much more easily and painlessly than you can remove an implant or laser off a tattoo. Some places though, I am far too squeamish to even contemplate.
