I am going to a cocktail party, iyw, tonight. Mostly liberal arts types, patrons of the arts, prfoessional board members, retired tech billionaires, but all very liberal. Gates may be there, I am sure he's invited. Typical upscale Seattle liberal faux-intellectually elitist salon type of event.

I am imagining, based on past history, there will be some typical CA boxed wine, like Harlan Estate, some Hietz Cellars Reserve Cab, maybe '97, maybe a couple of vintages of Screaming Eagle.

And more importantly, good stuff from the PacNW, Ken Wright Cellars Pinot, maybe some Patricia Greene, some Leonetti, Andrew Will Sorella. Delille?

Anyhoo, if politics comes up, how do I keep from putting my foot in my mouth and getting kicked out before I can maximise my wine consumption?!?!!?!?!
when you say something controversial or hateful follow with Allah akbar.

You'll get your points across, but they'll be thinking you're a Jihadi just exercising your freedom of speech. They'll think denying you your wine would be culturally ignorant. If they seem to be catching on, turn to the East and kneel on a carpet for awhile.
