Dissent. If you have good facts, you'll win no matter what you wear (within reason). The "look conservative" thing is a myth offered by conservatives. You have no idea who's on the jury. My wardrobe scales from Eurofunky shit to super-conservative banker stuff (Hi PPNYC!). I've lost as many things as I've won in every kind of suit, including a seersucker (which I think judges and arbitration panels find amusing).

Some folks think the attention to dress advertises a lack of attention to the case itself. If you can do both, why not? With my ADD, I need anything the diverts the jury's eye from my occasional wandering. Ever find yourself in the middle of a direct and say "Fuck... where was this going?"
