As for why they kept the relationship secret, wasn't Anna his client? At least that is how they portrayed themselves to the world, through the fat Anna days. Didn't he have an ethical obligation not to be banging her and not have a relationship with her, other than an atty-client one?

Believe it or not, and I'm sure you believe it, it is not unethical, in California, to be banging a client unless you have coerced it or forced it.
