I'm afraid you may be mistaken. The Left may be saying words that sound like disapproval, and they are, but they're also cheering that they've found a scandal that Americans understand and are inclined to pay attention to, at least for a while.
The moral outrage and rending of hair is coming from your base, which is going batshit crazy. Meantime, each day is one less to talk about peacenik commie Democrat terrorist sympathisers and reducing the marginal taxable rate to zero, and one more to talk about GOP leaders lining up in a circular firing squad.
