Your son may be right, but . . .
I used to wear contacts, and I'd say that, especially with something as thin as a daily disposable lens, a 20% chunk could slide down into a corner or up under the lid and feel like "maybe something" is in there somewhere -- but a bitch to find and get out. That happened to me more than once with an entire lens.
