BUT it feels like maybe something is in the eye, although a small cut can feel that way too. If I had a big chunk of lens in my eye I would know, wouldn't I?

I once found an entire, extra, soft contact lense in my eye. I am not sure how it happened. Needless to say, alcohol was involved.
