I'm really sorry about your sister. That must have been awful.
I have a very close relationship with my parents, so I can't really relate or give advice. I would hope that a shared tragedy would bring us closer together, but that sometimes isn't the case. I guess I'd ask myself under those circumstances if the relationship is one that I want to work on or not, and to what degree and what would the fall out be with the rest of the family if I chose not to preserve it.
