I'm sorry about your sister.

Some time back my mom asked if she could cash out the life insurance policy she had on me. I had no problem with this. But we have a pretty normal relationship. If we rarely spoke and she contacted me out of the blue I'd have been pretty pissed. I'd still have let her cash out the policy, but I'd likely always carry a grudge about it.
