Project Runway Spoiler

The judges are not in a position to gauge how much Jeffrey spent once the collection hits the runway, so there has to be a point where the collection is being submitted beforehand. Now, if you think the rules say that they can do whatever they want before formally showing, meaning an attempt to submit receipts for more than $8,000 will be met with the show allowing each contestant to simply pull a piece that will put them within the $8,000 limit, okay. Maybe so. We'll agree to disagree. But that would be outrageously stupid since that would be essentially the same as saying, "We think you are incapable of adding on your own."

Also, he tried to sneak in a piece he didn't have a receipt for. I suppose, as you see it, as long as it isn't presented on the runway, he can try to sneak it past without fear of punishment.

Why do you think he was so nervous and then relieved when the show let him go? He knew he tried to get away with some shit and he did.

I don't understand your last point at all. It was only irrelevant because they let it slide. If he had his way, he would have presented using everything that he could, putting him at an advantage. The only distinction you're making is that he got caught before the runway show. If he had been caught after or during, you would be okay with him getting the boot. But you can't possibly be arguing that he didn't get caught trying to bend or break (depending on how you look at it) the rules.

I don't know how it works. I said that. They submit receipts before hand and then are told whether or not things make it. According to an interview on Bravo.com, Jeffery said that Tim told him to bring extra stuff because you never know what will happen and changes may have to be made. Was the extra stuff included in the receipts he submitted? I don't know. Was the honor system expected? It doesn't seem to be the case. I never watched the finales for the other seasons, so I don't know if this has ever been an issue before.

It seemed to me, though, that no one had a problem with it and it was handled so the rules were followed for the judges. You seem to be upset that he tried to get away with something. He didn't get away with anything, and he was penalized.

Given something that Michael Kors said to Laura, I suspect that she got extra points for staying well within budget and appearing to have exceeded it significantly, so it played both ways.
