Pelosi. She doesn't thrill me, but she is not only a damned effective leader but (I hope and believe) much less of a leftist nut than you think.
She has built connections to the "Blue Dog" faction of Dems in the House (conservative Southern Dems mostly), who after this election will probably outnumber the Congressional Black Caucus, as well as the DLC types. They will have enough clout, and I think Pelosi will be wise enough, to generally try to set policy on key issues through the center of the Democratic caucus rather than at the outer edge. That may be little consolation to true conservatives, but . . .
