Chocolate
Okay, so Gwinky and Paisley are coming to my house for a chocolate orgy, 70% only.
Paisley, I disagree with you on the Scharffenberger. I had heard good things about it from folks like you, but then I bought about six different kinds of 70% chocolate at my local gourmet grocer and did a side-by-side tasting. Next to the various varieties of Valrhona, etc., the Scharffenberger was nasty.
And I remembered the one kind of fruit I will do with chocolate: bananas. But only in banana splits or in this really killer chocolate chunk banana bread pudding I made one time.
And last, I am the person who won't eat the chocolate chip cookies with walnuts. Walnuts are the only kind of nuts I don't absolutely adore--they're almost as bad as the chocolate oranges when it comes to abomination. Chocolate chip cookies are much better with toasted pecans. Mmmmmmm.

eta that milk chocolate goes along with underbaked cookies in defining American "taste." Too sweet, no oomph.
