Cheese curds are a Wisconsin staple food. I had my very first fresh cheese curds a few years ago. They are supposed to squeek when you bite them or they are not truly fresh. Very yummy. But I'm a big fan of the cheese products (which is why Mr. Man's family seems to like me a lot). Don't say bad stuff about cheese around Cheese Heads. *I realize that only some cheeses are white, but if they are thrown into that whole white food thing, beware!
