OK, I think more explanation is needed. If the cold hands come up from the bottom and slide up/across kinda slowly, the cold makes things pop up and being all popped up makes them more sensitive and sort of encourages attention. Or seems to. To me. It's personal preferences, I guess.
Cold hands if I'm sleeping? No. Or probably not. This hasn't really come up for me anytime recently.
