I think women will date below the floor where other factors are involved, but as a sort of "hey, nice-looking guy, fuckable" thing, there's a floor. And, in a bar or whatever, a woman isn't going to go for the guy who looks best in e.g. a still photograph (even if he's not yet at the "pretty" stage) -- it will probably have more to do with facial expression, interactions with other people, etc.
