What do you mean by "approached"? Are you sure they don't think you are a hooker? Or are just interacting with you as another human being? I mean, I don't think I'm all the way down at "ugly" but I don't think I really get approached. Other than the occasional almost obligatory "hey baby"* from the valet parking guys I walk past.
*I don't think that is actually what they say, but you get the idea.
