Serious answer: I'm always the optimist, "This is going to be great. I'm glad we get to work together on this interesting project.*" You have to learn to manage their habits and quirks. Not much you can do about their personality disorders.
*Even though you are a assjack that treats me like shit, can't manage a project, doesn't understand a thing about technology, much less the general logistics and process of discovery, and will complain to my boss and director if I don't reply to your inane e-mail sent at 2:00 am.
