Shoegazers are those mopey rockers who play meaningful shit and stare at their shoes, never making eye contact with the audience. I think this band uses the descriptor (and also "crunk"), in an ironic sense based on the music on their page. I learned a bit about irony today during an instant messaging "conversation." It is interesting stuff.
